The
Wilds
The Wilds
is North America's Largest Conservation Facility. When you
board one of the safari transports at the Wilds you will see
groups of Asian, African and North American species in an
open-range setting. The Wilds also has a Visitor Center, a
gift shop with unique items from around the world. Or maybe
you want to stop by the Education Center where exhibits tell
the story of the Wilds history and teach about the conservation
of wildlife. You can also stop and enjoy a bit to eat at the
Overlook Cafe, which has a breathtaking view of the conservation
area.
From Zanesville the Wilds are located east on 146. Or just

location.

Blue
Rock State Park
Blue Rock State Park has camping grounds and numerous activities
such as, swimming, fishing, hiking, boating and many more activities.
Blue Rock also has scenic picnic areas and an old fashion fire
tower to climb. The park also has private hunting grounds in
the winter. Only seven miles from Blue Rock State Park is The
Wilds, where you visit endangered species and wild animals in
a natural habitat.

Zane's
Landing Park
Zane's Landing Park filled with the history of Zanesville. Zane's
Landing Park is where the Bicentennial Legacy can be found;
Alan Cottrill created the sculpture. The characters include
John McIntire, Noah Norris, Zane Grey, and John Glenn. The eternal
flame can also be seen at Zane's Landing Park, it pays tribute
to Medal of Honor Veterans, the only eternal flame that pays
tribute to Medal of Honor Veterans in the United States. Another
piece of history that can be visited at Zane's Landing Park
is the Lorena Sternwheeler, an old-fashioned riverboat that
cruises the Muskingum River. Rides on the "Lorena"
are available from June to Labor Day and weekends until mid-October.
The park also has a large view of the Muskingum River and a
recreational trail that spans three miles for leisure enjoyment.

River Parkway State Park
Muskingum River Parkway is in association with Blue Rock State
Park and is responsible for all the locks in Muskingum County
and the surrounding areas.

Riverside
Park
Riverside Park has camping grounds across from the park. Riverside
Park also has numerous activities such as four basketball courts,
two tennis courts, football, rugby, soccer, baseball, and softball
fields. The park also has horseshoe toss pits, along with a
large walking and biking path. Other leisure activities include
boating and fishing. The park is great for large group gatherings.

Dillon
State Park
Activities a Dillon State Park include; picnicking, fishing,
hunting, swimming, and many more activities such as basketball,
volleyball, shuffleboard, tennis, and nature programs. The park
also has 195 campsites for tents or trailers and boat rental
available. Dillon State Park is located on State Route 146 about
8 miles west of Zanesville.

The South Zanesville Village Park has tennis courts, basketball
courts, a baseball/softball field, a swimming pool, a kiddy
playground, and a fitness trail. The park is open from sunrise
to sunset.

Kenny
Wolford Community Park
This wonderful park in Dresden has baseball fields, and volleyball
and basketball courts. The park was built by The Longaberger
Company to honor a longtime Dresden Police Chief Kenny Wolford.
