| Facts about DAR:
The Muskingum County Chapter of the National Daughters of the American Revolution
was chartered in October of 1893. The DAR was founded with 3 main
objectives: Historical Preservation, Promotion of Education, and Patriotic
Endeavor DAR Committees promoting objectives:
American Heritage, American History, American Indians, Dar Good Citizens,
DAR Scholarships, Junior American Citizens, Genealogical Records, Community
Service Awards, DAR Service for Veterans, and many more Eligibility for Membership in DAR:
Any woman over 18 and who is lineally from a man or woman who, with loyalty,
aided in the cause of American Independence. A prospective member
must be able to prove her lineage back to an ancestor who served in the
cause of the American Revolution. Why Join: It is a way to join
with other members in trying to make America a better place to live.
It offers an opportunity to work with youth, to be an active member in
